Harvey Weinstein.
Clearly the guy is a sexual predator but my question is why are all of these women only coming out now?

If Jolie and Paltrow had reported him 25 years ago then surely this would have stopped him?

Surely by saying nothing they are assisting an offender?

He tried it on with lots of women.
Who would you tell about that that would take it seriously and challenge such a powerful guy?
The ones he assaulted I presume are ones whose careers and prospects were often at his WHIM.

I see he has left for Europe presumably to stay in Roman Polanski's spare room.

America’s Saville

Hollywood is the BBC in that too many people wanting to be seen as liberal and cool were happy to turn a blind eye so long as they were getting paid.

Janet street porter even said so on Question Time a few years back and then got aggressive when called out on it

Terry crews timeline is an interesting read.

Said he was groped by a high up Hollywood exec bloke. But was afraid to say anything in case it damaged his career.

But Paltrow and Jolie paint themselves as staunch feminists and by not coming out and telling the world sooner dozens of other women have been attacked.

All for the sake of their careers?

Thatcher would have knighted him.

I expect Joss Whedon appreciates the timing.

Not a huge fan of Trump but the feminist reaction to him as compared to Bill Clinton should tell you all you need to know about double standards.

And thus this should not be a huge surprise. People may bandwagon once it comes out but silence for years is okay for political/ideological/career/generally any other, reason.

The casting couch syndrome is as old as them thar hills. Marylyn Monroe was banged by lots of producers, and Doris Day had to fight band leaders off before she became famous. Probably why she prefers stray dogs now.
I've seen lots of photos of Nicole Kidman kissing and hugging Weinstein recently, yet she's part of the crowd of females condemning him now.

'I didn't say anything because I thought my career would end if I admitted that I'm a tacky slut who sucks cock for an acting role.'

The laughable victimhood culture of the modern day female.

Maybe the fact that he is a dynamic major film producer and an interesting guy.
I think she is successful in her own right as well

I liked the Obama's statement. Thinly veiled dig at Trump in the second sentence possibly?

“Michelle and I have been disgusted by the recent reports about Harvey Weinstein. Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status.

Re: Harvey Weinstein.
Paltrow was so upset by his advances that a few years later she worked with him on Shakespeare in Love and won an Oscar.
“ Harvey is an amazing man “ she was quoted as saying.

The bloke is a prick but let’s not forget that by not coming forward sooner these women are slightly culpable.

the winner here is his Mrs.

She will take him to the cleaners on the divorce settlement, end up with more money than you could ever wish for without having to wake up next to that fat sweaty mess ever again.

Re: Harvey Weinstein.
I don’t know the extent of what happened with Paltrow
She isn’t to my taste but if she didn’t work with any producer that tried it on with her she probably wouldn’t work much.
I think you’d have to ask a good looking woman * the extent that this happens in most work places to some extent

* if you know any

Apparently is brother was behind all of the leaks to the press because he wanted him out of the business.

Nothing like brotherly love!

I wonder if Clint Eastwood is looking over his shoulder. Hasn't he shagged half the women cast in his movies?
